    Isn't experimentation fun?

    Here's what you do the next time you're doing the cheeseburger thang.

    Go to the store and get some nice, thick hamburger buns. As you're prepping your burgers at home, take a few tablespoons of butter (unsalted) and begin melting them down on the stovetop. Add in some freshly crushed garlic. Melt it all down, and then remove the sauce pot from heat, allowing the garlic and the butter to infuse.

    Now, right when your burgers are almost finished on the grill, take a basting brush and brush the garlic butter onto the inside of each half of the bun. Put the buns butter-side down on the grill for 30 - 45 seconds, or until they're lightly toasted.

    Now, not only do you have the essential component of any quality burger (the toasted bun), but you've incorporated garlicky goodness. [​IMG]

    Top the burger with some cheddar, Swiss and pepper jack cheese and ... and ... oh, dear, I need to stop before I fire up the grill at 11 p.m.

    Yesterday the pups and I took a drive out to the "country" to see some friends. We had dinner at the local joint: cheeseburger, onion rings and a beer. Afterwards we walked down the street for ice cream cones. Total summer decadence. :)
