I think he was awesome but isn't it odd that he didn't had his famous Mustache in this one? afterall any child of the 80's including myself remmebers him from those Quaker Oats commercials and now those Health Insurance commercials.

I'm sure when he was Blaire and went beserk, they were all out of Oatmeal and he wasn't suffering from Diabeetus, more like Thing-aginus.

The Thing is awesome. Wilford Brimley is awesome. Kurt Russell is awesome. I'll leave you to mull over these simple truths.

One of the best films ever - and Brimley is brilliant in it, as is everyone else.

Wilford Brimley is one of my fav actors, but I've seen him so many other productions where he was better. One of two things were happening, either his charactor was suppost to be a bit subdued or as a actor he was just phoning it in.

But did you get my joke on him suffering from Monster-ginus rather then Diabeetus?

I really liked him in Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins. That's one one of my favorite, if not my absolute favorite, guilty pleasures ever, and Brimley was good.

The Thing is an awesome movie.

Wilford Brimley is an awesome actor.

He's pretty good in The Thing but an odd one to single out in this movie -as I recall he's not in it all that much once they suspect him and put him in solitary. Wilford, you're awesome. You make me want to check my blood-sugar levels!

It's not Wilford Brimley's character but this is my favorite line from the movie:

"I know you gentlemen have been through a lot, but when you find the time, I'd rather not spend the rest of this winter TIED TO THIS FUCKING COUCH! "

That's my favorite line with "You gotta be fuckin' kidding".

Sucks the researchers didn't come with Liberty Medical Insurance in case of emergency including free meters.
