NSA Center Modeled After Enterprise Bridge

    I'm not sure what I think of this. Apparently, the director of the US National Security Agency, General Keith Alexander, initiated a project to build an "information dominance center" which was inspired by the design of the Enterprise bridge. They even had a production designer from Hollywood consult on the project. (Though no word if it was Herman Zimmerman!)

    I'm no fan of the NSA at this moment in time. And you can certainly make the argument that they went to a lot of trouble and spent a lot of taxpayer dollars to make this thing look similar to the Enterprise bridge. OTOH, the bridge -- particularly the bridge from TOS and the TOS movies -- have often been cited as examples of efficient operational designs. So it might make sense to copy from them.
