Who would you have at the Helm of your ship? (Choose 2)

I'm allowing two picks because each ship had a back up pilot but who would you rather have at the Helm of your ship?

I chose Tom and Nog. Tom is the best in my opinion and Nog knows a few good tricks. Nog flew the Defiant during the Second Battle of Chin'toka and that loop-d-loop attack was all him.

 

Tom Paris would be my last choice.
A good pilot.
But 95% of the time you're just cruising with no great pilot needed and you'd have to put up with his 'personality' the rest of the time.

 

Ro Laren of course! I voted for Data too... even though I'm not sure why he was one of the choices!

 

...good poll...tough choices!...but you HAVE to have Data, just in case he decides to play that little "Life Forms" ditty he played with the display console in "Generations"

I would pick Picard because he did that nifty move with the ship in Booby Trap.

 

Hikaru Sulu and Ro Laren. Shame there wasn't an "Other" category as I might've been tempted to name Lieutenant Stadi or Ensign Rager.

Also Jadzia Dax is missing off the list, she piloted the Defiant for a lot longer than Nog or anyone else did.

 

Data, as an android he can be better than any "organic" in case of emergency. Nog, if paid well, he'd do outstanding job (and because I like him )

 

Data flew the Enterprise around season one and two. He, Geordi, and Worf switched around at the beginning. He also reprised that roll in the past scenes of All Good Things.

 

I picked Wesley and Data. Wesley merely for the fact that if my ship gets into any shit he can use his Mary Sue trope to get us out of it. Data is pretty handy to have around too.

 

Since William Riker wasn't on the list, I picked the nest best thing, Tom Paris.

 

But wasn't he just "filling in" real quick vs. it being his dedicate post? Well, I guess it doesn't matter anyways. I would still like to see him at the helm of my ship!

 

Travis, I like things quiet on my bridge.

 

Both Sulus. One's super duper competent (he never even looks down at the buttons he presses!), the other handy in case a sword fight suddenly breaks out or if I need to send anyone threatening messages.

 

The advantage of Data's incredible reaction time is no small thing. But I'd still take Riker any day. Let's remember whose judgment was right from the get-go in Cause and Effect.

 

I think you would pick 'Ro Laren' for any purpose.

 

I picked Mayweather and Paris, with the former being always steady & collected and the latter for being fearless whenever the time to be such was necessary.

Paris, seems the most gifted pilot in trek (although riker has a mean reputation too)

and Data because he can do stuff all the others cant
