OK, since it's still Jubilee week, the theme is Queens - real or fictional. I will accept SF&F *if* it's a sentient and actually Royal female monarch played by a single peformer (or actually a real person) - or, to put it another way, I'm excluding the Alien Queen, because that's simply given a designation of "queen" by the other characters. I guess queen bees are out too. And so are people's who names include "Queen" without being the royal type (e.g Steve McQueen, Queen Latifah) Other than that, any Queen goes, and I will accept characters depicted at an earlier point than they become queen (or after they've been queen). You have until, oh, let's say Friday evening...
I'm guessing these are out : But Mrs Windsor is fine: How about the Borg Queen Dave? Would she count or would that come under the Alien/Bee bylaw?
Correct Hm, I think I'd allow her - despite the Borg supposedly being like an insect hive, they do clearly have a hierarchy, and she is a specific sentient individual that is their declared Head of State.
"I know I have but the body of a weak and feeble woman; but I have the heart of a king, and of a king of England, too"
Would this be permissible, Lonemagpie? Galadriel wasn't a queen, technically. She and Celeborn never took royal titles.
Certainly - in fact I expected her to be the first entry! Technically true, but contextually, no problem: she's royal, daughter and granddaughter of kings, even though she didn't adopt the title it's definitely due to her, and she's known as the Queen by everybody else (the Dwarves in particular)
I hate to say it, but Emma Frost isn't *actually* a Queen - not a royal leader person... She just called herself "White Queen"
