I'm about to read this book for what must be the 20th time since I first got it for Christmas 1994. This is probably my favorite book of the entire Starfleet Academy series. There's no danger, just lots of fun and adventure as Geordi LaForge and his Academy classmates embark on a training exercise.

    Rating: 10 out of 10.

I read all of these back when they first came out, since I was right in the middle of the age range for them at the time. Sadly I don't really remember anything about them.

I have very fond but very faded memories of Capture the Flag. I do remember preferring Atlantis Station, though. I'll give it a four - keeping in mind it's reviewed through misty, rose-tinted nostalgia specs. 29 year old Daniel very probably wouldn't enjoy it as much as I did back in Junior school!

I remember "Atlantis Station", and out of the four LaForge novels in the series (sure LaForge does make cameos in other books in he series) I found that it was the weakest.

This was my favorite of the lot, and one of the ones I remember best.

I just re-read the Boothyby/Geordi scene. Boothyby, what a character!

Just finished the book the other day. Boy, John Vornholt really made me feel like I was right there on Saffair watching from the sidelines, cheering Geordi and his team on.

Excellent, excellent story. Sometimes the young adult stories in a series will not get weighted down with unnecessary exposition.
