What if The Doctor had a pet companion again you know like K9 was so far his only pet companion what sort of animal could it be and why? I myself think an owl fits really well with The Doctor I just feel it fits him best and could be interesting in my opinion. What do you all think?
I mean for me the reason why I think its such an interesting thought is the H.G. Wells style the TARDIS and The Doctor had. I feel an owl would have fit right in really well. And I even still think with the futuristic TARDIS look I still believe an Owl could still fit in and be companion.
Take a number! ...to try to answer the question, as a cat person I think, K-9 and 10's declaration notwithstanding, that he'd be a good cat person. A cat has all the qualities he values in a companion -- independence, curiosity, loyalty, self-confidence...
And don't forget Cats rarely do what they're told, which is a necessity for a Companion. If the Companions did what they were told, half the stories wouldn't be able to happen
A sarcastic, foul-mouthed iguana. Who does nothing bu sit on the Doctor's shoulder and make smart-ass comments about everything. And a squirrel that sits on the console looking confused.
Let's put a "spin" on that. A cat rescued from cyber-conversion that he calls KIT-10. Uh, I'll get m' coat. Sincerely, Bill
He should get some kind of telepathic lizard that doesn't actually talk but that he can yell at from time to time.
Well, in "The Doctor's Wife", Idris did say the Doctor continually brought in "strays". So from the perspective of the TARDIS the traveling companions ARE little more than "pets". Sincerely, Bill
