    TNT announces summer lineup.

Falling Skies is the one that interests me, but I'll give Dallas and Perception a look.

Eagerly awaiting Falling Skies, despite trepidation about ridiculousness coming out of the spaceship.

Perception has Ken Biller producing, who I didn't find to be too exciting on Voyager. He was primarily responsible for most of the final season in particular, which I consider by far the weakest. I fear that paranoid schizophrenia is going to be treated as a source of oracular wisdom beyond the limits of quotidian reasons. Seems dubious.

I'll be watching Falling Skies, of course, but I have to admit I'll probably watch the first episode of Dallas, just out of curiosity. I never really watched the original (except when Jenilee Harrison was on), but I admire them for doing an actual sequel, rather than a lame remake that twists the original concept beyond recognition.

I want to see Dallas just to see if they have to wheel Larry Hagman out in a Professor X chair just to say one or two lines.

I gave up on Falling Skies last season and see nothing to draw me back in.

I'll probably tune in to see Linda Gray, Hagman and Duffy since to this day Dallas is one of my all time favorite shows but you simply can't recapture what made the original so great--I have never seen it happen(Melrose Place 2.0, 90210 2.0, Charlies Angels 2.0, The Karate Kid 2.0, Nightmare on Elm Street 2.0 etc etc). People will tune in wanting to see Sue Ellen, JR and Bobby but will be disappointed they are basically cameo players with the real focus on the kids. I don't care for Jesse Metcalf and think it was a poor casting choice.

I plan to watch Dallas. But then, I am old enough to remember the summer when all anyone talked about was who shot JR.

    What about brevity?

They aired 10 episodes in 8 weeks.

    WHAM!

    it's over.

If you haven't seen Leverage, you should give it a try. It's very good. Kind of a modern Mission: Impossible.

I won some decent money over that. I can't believe how many people got it wrong. :rommie:

Perception - Hopefully they won't make paranoid schizophrenia 'wacky and fun' like Monk did with OCD.

I've seen a few eps of Leverage. Meh. I think it's a lot less like MI and more likeit's trying to be The A-Team meets Burn Notice. I don't really like any of the characters, so just don't gravitate towards it. Just not my bag, I guess.

Leverage is like 60s Mission Impossible.

    The real Mission Impossible.

Oh, okay. Interesting. I feel just the opposite: I think the characters are great and the schemes are clever.

They must be desperate, if they're still making Falling Skies. The show was a mess all around. Oh well, I guess it's sorta good Sci-Fi is still on TV, even if it's crap Sci-Fi.

They're not desperate. The ratings are strong - it's the ninth best rated basic cable show of the year and TNT's only show in the top 20. Shows with strong ratings get renewed. Same story as ever.

To assess whether quality ever enters into these matters, I refer you to #1 on the list. :D But hey, Falling Skies beat the Kardashians, for that it deserves to be renewed forever.
