The plot threads in Stormwatch and Superman were connected. I think the horn in Stormwatch had some connection to the story in Superman by Perez. Now there is a Daemonite in Superman. I think there is probably some Wildstorm oriented crossover in the works by DC that was being built up slowly in those two books. And when the writers weren't doing it fast enough they got new writers to do the job.

Ah right. I'd forgotten about the connection between Stormwatch and Superman...I ranted about that I think lol.

That's a bit back to front, if the scripts they turned in didn't make the connection quickly enough, they would have simply been told to change them by editorial - DC don't publish those things unread.

Yes I would agree that moving the story along fast enough would hardly be a reason to replace people.

In other news I am quite enjoying Blue Beetle now that I can understand the armor and ok we get it Ronnie Raymond and Jason Rusch dont like each other, can we advance the story now please.
Captain Atom is just boring even with an appearance by Flash, and well at least they didnt fight in that issue.
Dont like the new costume on the new Ray.
Catwoman better than expected, Superboy not so much.
Supergirl, Superman and Action all pretty good.
Swamp Thing, Animal Man, Aquaman all near the top
Justice League Dark, Blackhawks, Birds of Prey near the bottom.
Enjoy LSH but not Legion Lost.

The belt is different. less "chunky". Also, the red piping on the wrists is either new or more prominent. Like I said, minor. The belt definitely looks better there. What we can see of it.

I'm thinking every artist is gonna slightly change things up and do his own take, but the costume would officially stay the same.

No two artists have drawn it the same way yet - why would this cover be any different?

Every time I see it...the suit grows on me. Even with the high collar which isn't really that big a deal. I think the belt buckle is the thing that most bugs me. It looks ugly. That being said I'm probably going to be picking up a New 52 Superman when the first wave of toys comes out next year. Along with a Batman and Wonder Woman.

Only thing I still don't like is the piping. It was cool on the TNG uniforms, but just seems like one design element too much on this costume.

    My pulls for tomorrow:

    Batgirl #4
    Batman & Robin #4

And I guess that's it. Huh.

I think the IDW Ghostbusters book may come out tomorrow too.

I've heard some good things about The Penguin Pride and Prejudice books but when it's wrapped up I'm guessing a collection/trade will be put out so I'll pick it up then.

Yeah, I'm not sure what week it usually comes out, I just grab it whenever I see it. Same with TMNT.

And I believe Supergirl isn't until next week.

Continuing my tradition of being a marginal fan of marginal books, I'm getting Demon Knights and Frankenstein - before they're cancelled in favor of Batman: Cashing In The Cow and Justice League Poughkeepsie and Mauve-Blue Lanterns with a Sweet Little Ribbon In Their Chapeau Corps.

    Today I got:
    Resurrection Man #4
    Demon Knights #4
    Frankenstein AoS #4

But I still haven't read Animal Man #4 or my other DC books from last week.
I'm a bit more behind than normal at this point.
