Grant Morrison discusses the finale of his Action Comics run. It would appear that at least for the time being (with the exception of Superman from Earth 23 appearing in Multiveristy) that he is done with the character when this concludes.

    New round of cancellations

Firestorm, Ravagers, Hawkman, Deathstroke, Sword of Sorcery, and Team 7 are all getting the axe. Was anyone in this thread even reading those? I don't think I've heard any discussion.

I was intrigued by Sword of Sourcery and I was looking forward to checking it out. That too bad.

A shame about the treatment Hawkman received in the new 52. It could have been a cool comic if DC had taken the time to put a great creative team on it--as cool as Aquaman!

PS. There is no indication of what will be replacing these books in this article. Is there any information out there yet?

Palmonti/Gray seems to be building towards a Freedom Fighters book, so maybe that's one. Shazam is also a possibility. A few more non-superhero titles would be nice. Though the track record for those is pretty bad.

Aquaman has been cool for a very long time.

    Maybe 1994?

i was actually reading Sword of Sorcery. it was decent. though the original pre-Crisis stuff is far superior. Firestorm was so awful for so long it was gonna be a challenge to salvage that book anyway.

I wonder what they're going to replace those titles with. Do we have an updated account of their "52" titles yet? Are their still 52 books?

It would make political debates a lot more intriguing.

Was reading Firestorm, Sword & Sorcery and Team 7. Dont think Sword was given a big enough chance to catch on but than a book about a teenage girl is hardly going to draw big sales anyway. Firestorm has been a disaster since they got rid of Stein and turned Ronnie from a hero into a jerk. Team 7 was just blah, nothing to excite the senses there and it will not be missed.

Jeez, DC gave Sword of Sorcery and Team 7 even less of a chance than everything else. They're what, 3-4 issues in?

The numbers must have been truely dismal.
