The best episode of TNG - Part Six

Okay Trek fans, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favorite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. I'd say Aquiel. It doesn't work at all. The plot is silly, the guest actor plain bad, and the romance story is possibly even worse.

Removed Aquiel, and I'm going to take out Rascals. Extremely irritating. Kid who played Picard gave perhaps the most annoying performance I've ever seen, and once again TNG does a terrible job handling the Ferengi.

Removing: Man of the People
Reason: The best thing about this episode is Marina Sirtis' performance, which is surely the definition of damning with faint praise.

 

This is far and away the strongest season of TNG, as far as I'm concerned. This is going to be tough.

Taking out Realm of Fear - some interesting ideas and it's always nice to see Barclay again, but it's just a bit dull and plodding. Too much technobabble.

 

Removing: "Tapestry"
Reason: The whole Picard being dead thing with Q just forces me as far away from the episode as possible. Ugh...

WTF?!? If you're going to remove a Q episode then surely the deeply dodgy True Q should be top of the list!

In which case, I'd best remove True Q because I don't want to live in a universe where it might continue on the list after the vastly superior Tapestry was eliminated.

"Time's Arrow (II)" gets the boot from me. It manages to be an extremely dull time travel story, and Samuel Clemens is just annoying.

Down goes Chain of Command (II). Why? Because someone removed Tapestry right off the bat.

 

Well, "Chain of Command 2" was 25x better than "Tapestry"... IMO!!!

And I'm happy to see "Timescape" and "Starship Mine" are still standing, as they both beat the two-hour "Chain of Command" AND "Tapestry".

 

Somebody removed Part II of Chain of Command before Part I? I guess I'll fix that now, even though it's still a pretty good episode. The best of the season -- "Tapestry" -- is sadly already gone.
