http://www.nytimes.com/2008/01/15/scienc...0&emc=eta1' This blows my mind. Researchers in the US and Japan have created a link over the Internet between a monkey with electrodes implanted in her brain and a large bipedal robot, such that when the monkey thinks about walking, the robot starts walking itself. The researchers claim that by the end of the year, they will be able to demo the technology for humans with paralysed limbs, allowing them to regain the use of those limbs when augmented with a brain-controlled exoskeleton.
Re: SHOCKER! Money controls robot with brain! Money controls robot with brain? Well, I'm not surprised. Money controls everything else. Ohh, you mean monkey? Well, of course that means it's only a short hop to this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c5/Robotmonster.jpg
I still say the original title has truth to it. Without money, would the experiment even have been done?
I hope Jayson never sees this. In all seriousness though, I hope the technology works out. It could help a lot of people.
How long before porn finds an application for this? You put on a helmet and control the Real Guy poking the girl on the PPV (PPF?) site?
