I've just had sesame crackers and an iced Costco mocha today.

Yesterday, I had Chinese takeout leftovers, peppermint macaroons and instant chai mixed with milk.

I had a bag of Beef Mr. Noodles, three hot dogs, and when my friends came to pick me up we went to the pub and got surprisingly very delicious chicken wings!

    A day of contrasts:

    - bag of chips from the local chippie with plenty of salt & vinegar for lunch
    - Michelin-starred multi-course meal for dinner

I like to mix it up.

All the traditional fixings except...the turkey. My friend Sonia and I did Thanksgiving, just the two of us. Usually I host for well, a host of friends, but this year two of them couldn't afford the tickets, two had a death in the family a couple of months ago which resulted in their mother being more adamant about everyone being together on the holidays, and so it was just me and Sonia. We made a great meal: homemade stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoes, roasted squash and zucchini, fry bread, and an incredible apple pie. We each bought half the ingredients, she brought her half over, and we cooked together.

The thing about Sonia, she's smart as can be (one of few people who can beat me at Scrabble), but can be a bit spacey, and she definitely doesn't cook anything that isn't a two-step, microwavable process. She was unpacking her share of the groceries, and as she said excitedly, "I found a really small turkey; perfect for just the two of us!" she pulled a chicken from her bag.

So we had a Thanksgiving chicken, which did turn out very good.

For Thanksgiving I had turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, crescent rolls, with homemade cheesecake and pumpkin pie afterwards. I also enjoyed the turkey's liver, no one else wanted it so I had it all to myself. I feel like I'm forgetting something but I don't feel like wandering all the way downstairs to check the refrigerator...

All of this, plus my aunt's homemade brownies.

And, we were sent home with enough left-overs that this will also be dinner for the next three nights.

Leftovers, of course, and a satsuma for dessert -- it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! (Although all these silly East Coast natives call satsumas "clementines". A custom this Seattle native cannot adopt despite being a New Yorker for 8 years.)

I'm glad you put in the translation, I wouldn't have had a clue what you meant by satsuma.

I had a Digiorno's pizza. Far from the healthest thing, but it was quick and dirty because I was tired after working... Who would think so many people would want to rent movies on black Friday.
