-43 Oh yeah, and I'm getting a new computer It's less an awesome gift and more necessity. Much of my current one dates back to October 2001 (many replacements and upgrades over the years), and it's making the death rattle of impending hard-drive faliure. Again. That computer's been really good to me. The 24" monitor? Well...that's necessary, too
I'm going to wish everyone well, but I'm not going to dip into my pocket till Xmas Eve. I'm going to have a three day Xmas.
It is. Especially so if you're ordering at Amazon.co.uk from Germany. I've saved several hundred Euros over the last couple of years just by ordering DVDs and videogames from the UK.
This one? Thank you. I'll go back to it when I've paid my respects. Well, we've booked our Christmas lunch at work. We're going for a curry! Very seasonable!
^ Thank you. I'm more pleased that you like the poppy. Yes, it's for Remembrance Day. Here's one of my favourite Christmas decorations. He's so cute.
As promised, my Christmas present shopping is now done. Ordered a large hamper of various foodie treats, which can be divvied up and allocated appropriately on arrival, and a mixed case of decent wine which will suffer the same fate. Both ordered from the Wine Society which really does make Christmas shopping ever so simple. That should cover just about everybody who deserves a present from me. And if there's anything left over, I get an extra indulgence or two over the holidays too.
Well done, sir! I have an organic food box delivered every week and can buy a lot of edible and boozy goodies from this farm, which I plan to do. Happiness is home delivery. My husband has a lot of the Christmas gift shopping done already for our sons, though he's leaving my daughter's presents to be. Seeing as she's 13, I don't blame him. Here's one of the gifts I'm ordering for her: http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/womens/b3e7/ It suits her very well!
Awesome shirt - I'm going to order that for the little miss! And thank you KingDaniel for this thread - thanks to seeing this any time I read Misc, my family back in England might actually get Christmas presents this year
ThinkGeek is a great site. I'm getting my nephew's birthday and Christmas presents from there---at his request.
I've gotten tons of stuff from ThinkGeek for my boyfriend over the years. It's a great site for geeks of all kinds!
I have decided on one present so far, but have not bought it yet. I'll be buying only two more this year but as yet don't have any ideas.
Got my new computer yesterday evening, and finally got round to plugging it in today. I'm in heaven. I keep laughing when I step into the room and see the 24" monitor. It's insane! Glad to be of help
Congrats, I know the feeling! Listened to some Christmas-y music in the car today - I have to stop myself from doing that this early or I'm going to get burned out over it before December again
