Would Nemesis have been better if Jonathan Frakes had directed?

I went to see NEM a few times at the theatre when it first came out. I usually do this for Trek and Batman films as I enjoy the communal experience as well as the big screen and big sound. With NEM, though, it was more like "giving it a second and third chance in case I missed something important." The thing is, I really disliked this film at first and thought that maybe it was me so I went back to make sure. This is a weak film in which the writer just didn't know the characters and how to write for them successfully. When you discuss the plot, it sounds good, but the execution was weak. The characters were out-of-character most of the time, although not all of the time. Unlike GEN, which gets worse for me with every viewing, NEM improves. I'll never see it as a great film but it doesn't suck nearly as bad as GEN and certainly not as bad as TFF. What bothers me most about this film is that it did so poorly at the theatres that we may never see TNG on TV or at the movies ever again. That's unforgivable.

Let's not turn this into a Marina Sirtis bashing topic.

    DS9 isn't for everyone.

Sirtis not liking it doesn't make her a lesser person.

No, it doesn't. The reason people find her remarks off-putting is because one would hope that she would be more professional in her comments about another Star Trek series. She may not care for Deep Space 9, but there are many people who are fans of both it and The Next Generation.

No, but her bitchy comments make her seem, at best, very unprofessional.

it's especially insulting when two of her castmates from TNG went on to BE in DS9.

Agreed. Her comments on DS9 always just struck me as her being upset that TNG ended and it being a convenient target to vent that towards.
