There's a Kindle version listed on Amazon, so I assume there will be a nook (which you have IIRC) version as well.
Yeah, I have a Nook, and I'm glad to see an e-book version is coming out. For a long time these kinds of books didn't get digital releases, but now thanks to the rise of tablets the majority of them do. That makes me very happy.
Hi All What good luck -I have only just discovered the IKS Gorkon series (Yes it was a big rock I was under) -The synopsis has myself very excited. So I have some questions, Hopefully Krad or fellow fans can answer. Are their other books I MUST read before reading Honor Bound? So I get all the references? Are there any hardcover/collector versions? ( I had a very hard time finding them -Im in Australia) I got them off E-BAY but the condition of the books is not great. Eager to buy brand new books. Very keen on the New book as well. Any help a big thanks
Diplomatic Implausibility and whatever the first Gorkon book's name (for some reason, I blank out on the odd numbered titles).
There's nothing you must read because Star Trek novels are a luxury item and are not required reading. I also made an effort to fill folks in who might not have read earlier books or simply might have forgotten details. Having said that, Honor Bound is part 2 of a two-part story, so I'd recommend starting with A Good Day to Die. Here's the full list of significant appearances by Klag and the gang: "A Song Well Sung" in Tales of the Dominion War TNG: Diplomatic Implausibility The Brave and the Bold Book 2 I.K.S. Gorkon Book 1: A Good Day to Die I.K.S. Gorkon Book 2: Honor Bound I.K.S. Gorkon Book 3: Enemy Territory "loDnI'pu' vavpu' je" in Tales from the Captain's Table Klingon Empire: A Burning House A Singular Destiny Nope. Hope you enjoy the books!
To be fair, Klag was fleshed out by KRAD and KRAD alone. What do you expect? ...or were you just trolling again?
^Huh? There's no trolling there. KRAD lists were once a highlight of this board, but we've seen less of him in recent times. Sounds to me like JWolf is just saying he's glad to see him back.
I'm sorry if I misread his intention. It seemed like a complaint to me. It seemed like he was implying KRAD was just trying to push his own work by listing stories he wrote that featured Klag. I was saying that as KRAD is the only writer who has told stories about Klag, that only his work could be cited when discussing Klag.
Out of curiosity, have Klingons ever actually commented on works like Hagakure? Will they maybe use it as a comparison for us poor humans to get a better sense of Klingon honor? (This whole thing has always kinda bothered me when Klingons discussed human culture. Did all copies of anything written in Edo-Japan end up being torched in WW3 or something?) I mean they love Shakespeare, but for some reason are completely absent on stories like Chuushingura which strikes me as a bit bizarre. (I'm sure part of this simply has to do with what writers were familiar with, but still)
Welcome back to the Trek fold. Does this mean you will reward us with another novel at some point? Keith DeCandido: -------------- Missing From The Federation since 2010
