So it looks like the latest member of the British Royal Family is to bourn. S/he will be third in line to the throne. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-23402103
Give them a few months to figure out that even if effective filters can be developed, it's logistically impossible to implement, and it'll be dropped, quietly.
Yes I've seen that article of News. Whatever happend to parental responsibility. Surely it should be the repsonsibility of parents to censor what they have their children exposed. I mean it's not as if pornography is illegal when contucted between consenting adults. Of course the illegal stuff should be banned and is already banned.
i'm sure Labour are delighted to have her join, though i thought the royal family usually stay out of politics.
^ Just the other day, I read that William was away for a month and a half around the time of conception.
Bets on what? The baby's sex? Its size and weight? Or whether it will be a normal baby or . . . THE SPAWN OF SATAN!
Millions of other women's kids won't be monarch of the United Kingdom. Whether you like or loathe the royals, this birth is significant for many, many people. His/Her Royal Highness Prince/Princess <Name> It is up to Will and Kate whether they give them a surname, technically it's not required, but they may choose to give them one, Mountbatten-Windsor or Wales, most likely. They hold the title Prince/Princess by right from birth because they are in the direct line to the throne. Originally, the rules set down about who could call themselves 'Prince' or 'Princess' would have meant a son would be a Prince but a daughter would not be a Princess, but the current Queen changed that after Will and Kate married.
I guess I meant title in the sense that William is the Duke of Cambridge and Charles is the Prince of Wales. I was wondering if the third generation in line for the throne gets to rule any place.
You don't automatically get a 'place', William didn't until adulthood although he was often referred to as 'Prince William of Wales' as a reference to his father's title. Eventually, the child will be Prince/Princess of Wales after William takes the throne, but I suspect they will accumulate some minor titles before then. There are quite a few of the old English titles going begging, with the contraction of the aristocracy.
