Been wanting to see this for a while - ever since I heard about it at a convention two years ago. Sadly, yet to screenings here in Newcastle. I'll probably wait until it's on DVD to see it.

Seems it was a one day only cinema release here in the UK, and I missed it. Though it's out on DVD now, but I don't fancy forking out for it without seeing it first.

This is worth paying for, not that I did.

    It's excellent.

However, the other day I saw "The 25th Reich", which is about time travelling Nazi cyborg spider sodomites (think Zoids with dildos.), which is awful and should be frankly avoided for health reasons.

apparently the one day release went so well it has got a slightly longer release, but still only in selected cinemas unfortunately.

To be fair, the Cinemas didn't want to be fired bombed by individuals with no grasp of irony.

Have you seen Holy Flying Circus?

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1981637/

It's a reinactment of the uphill battle Monty Python toiled to air life of Brian on English soil against the indignation of the moral conservatives and religious supremacists.

    Yeah, it was great.

Yeah, Starkers, I saw a couple of cinemas extended it to a week long run, unfortunately not the ones near me.

I saw it a while ago. It wasn't quite as awesome as I thought it would be, there was some lull in some places but I enjoyed it, all in all. It's quite funny. While the SFX is very impressive for a low-budget movie some of them looked a bit awkward on the big screen. So in that regard it'll probably come off better on DVD.

It's really hard to figure out what's going on with this in the US market.

The unnamed president was Palinesque or Palin herself?

I'm guessing that they left it in our hearts to decide personally.

I'd love to, but I'm not going to buy the DVD new, cos I don't want a penny going to the fucking distributor. If there was a way to make sure the makers got a cut without the UK distributors getting theirs...

You download the bugger with bit totrrent and then post a personal cheque or cheques to the makers of the movie, or performers in the movie who you believe really deserve a little bit extra.

The UK Blu-ray arrived today, but it won't play on a system with fully updated player and drivers.
Remind me, why again are people supposed to buy movies when they could just as well download a file that actually works???

For the self satisfaction of knowing you're not a dirty pirate.

And how is it better to pay for something that doesn't work as opposed to the pirate who can actually watch the movie?

Self satisfaction is all the reward the self satisfied need.

I wonder if it's one of those that has a thank you for not being a pirate ads on it if/when it actually plays?
