Chase Masterson getting banned from the Trek BBS was one of the great and most notorious moments in all of board history. I mean - come on. Leeta herself got bounced and never came back. That's either a badge of honor for this place or our greatest shame. I've never been quite sure which.

You weren't around when Chase Masterson of DS9 joined the board and then got banned? I'm fuzzy as to just precisely when the incident happened, but I imagine some of us might not have been here or posting on a regular basis and thus aware at the time.
As I recall from what Emh told me, he didn't believe that it was actually her. As you might imagine, he ended up feeling pretty embarrassed.

TGT once made some awful comment about American soldiers being a lot like potato chips: you can never kill enough of them. Whatever happened to him after that I can't remember.
WOW! I only knew him as the extremely opinionated TOS fan that though only seasons 1 and 2 were canon. Terrible.
Yeah, it surprised me too. Kinda came out of left field and I didn't know he harbored those kinds of attitudes. I know passions about the Afghanistan and Iraq wars ran high on the board, but his comment definitely strayed into the realm of bad taste - to say the least.
I met her about four or five years ago when she was making an appearance at a comic shop a couple of blocks from where I work, and we had a good laugh about the incident, so it was obviously before then.
