"Excellent" a LOT happened in this episode, I didn't think they would do so much, but man, we got a LOT out of it in one episode, no BS I am so happy Jin is alive
3/4 weakest so far this year It felt like nothing happened until the final ten minutes. Just spinning gears and learning nothing. The only big surprise for me was meeting the French expedition with Jin (though I recognized Jin the second they showed him face down!). I can't wait to see Jin screwing around with the French, somehow this wasn't in my mind as happening. I find the Oceanic Six plot to be the least interesting thing going on. I was surprised that Ben was behind the entire lawyer/assassin thing, I thought it was Widmore. Explains why they only used tranqs! Miles getting the nose bleed just confirms he's Chang's son. I think the Sawyer Juliet pairing is not romantic, but them bonding as they're both castoffs of the Jack Kate relationship, commisserating together. I do hope it ends with Jack/Juliet and Kate/Sawyer as they're made for each other. So the Indian foodstuffs... are we going to meet an Indian team in the future?
^that's right...just speculation but the evidence is mounting! Charlotte first to bleed=born on the island Miles next to bleed=not born but raised on island Juliet next to bleed=has been there 3+ years Like Daniel said...the more exposure...my guess is he's next as he has time travelled around before (or maybe he's immune?) Great ep! My first excellent I believe
Kate was a really good character in the first season but then fell apart afterwards. What's hurt her is she has become nothing more than the love interest of either Jack or Sawyer. The only other thing she does is go around saying "I have a son!" now. She needs to exist as a character in her own right. That being said, I gave this episode a strong Above Average. Both storylines, the Oceanic Six and the island storyline were both strong tonight and I love all the time shifting. Very glad to see Jin back and Claire for all of ten seconds. I'm very glad they found a way to bring in Rosseau as well. Evangeline's Lilly cute-as-hell face makes this episode worth is alone.
Um, I just realized something.....Walt totally has to get in on this time-travel stuff at some point so he can "drop in" on Shannon and Locke.
Step down from last week, but I'll give it an average. In some ways, it was as much a Sawyer episode as a Kate episode (really touching moment with Sawyer seeing Claire and Kate together). Is Emilie de Ravin still considered part of the cast (the only time we see her is stock footage from before)? Looking forward to seeing Rousseau (I was wondering how they were going to handle that in the series, since I figured they couldn't leave it a blank spot).
Although he was younger there. I think that's more of Walt's ability to appear places he shouldn't be (which seems to be the other thing about him besides the bird thing). Of course, time travel would be nice to explain the whole "Tall Walt" talking to Locke at the end of Season 3.
Don't we pretty much know that Walt's vision appearances to them was his remote-viewing to them as he was held captive by the Others?
It's sort of 50/50. On the one hand, there's nothing to stop something *else* mysterious from also having been happening. On the other, Locke explicitly mentioned that Walt looked older. Plus it would be really neat to realize we'd been seeing this time-jumping from the other end all along.
They intentionally shot Walt at an up-shot with over-sized clothes to mask his aging for the "Looking Glass" scene, though.
Holy crap, I love this show. The French saved Jin! Who the fuck saw that coming?! Of course, fans are now going to comb all of Danielle's episodes to see if there was even a single scene which contained both Danielle and Jin. Okay, so I was wrong about Widmore being the person behind the lawyer, but Ben was pretty plausible, too. That being said, the whole lawyer plot was completely useless including the Claire's mum red herring. I still like my idea of the psychic being behind it, but alas. As for the rest of the episode, it was fairly decent (although John seeing the pilar of light and Sawyer seeing Claire and Kate was cool) but nothing outstanding until the end. Hopefully it'll blow our brains out next week with Danielle.
As far as Sawyer knows, Kate has only been off the island for a day or so. I noticed that they were very careful with how they handled that.
That's right Locke DID say he looked older. I remember thinking that was weird since I read that they tried to mask his age when they filmed the S3 scene...
