Knew KB was brilliant the moment I saw 'Wuthering Heights' on the TV back in the day, and that was 1978. Was impressed all over again with 'King of the Mountain' in 2005, after all that silence.

Sh'es very, very good, and underrated by a lot of the public.

    Burque, baby!
Love her... As much as I love Tori Amos and Lorenna McKinnet, Kate will always be tops in my book...

Same here-I love Kate,Tori, and Sarah McLachlan (who I think is the Canadian version of Kate, or was for a while!)

My big problem with Kate Bush: NO TOURS!

Seeing Kate live would just be a magical experience.

Me too, as would MILLIONS of others around the world, but the lady hath decreed that she will not tour, sadly.

    You're welcome.

I love KB. I always saw her as a slightly more eccentric female Bowie.

    I think it's because she's a too intellectual for most people. :p

And one more gift DJG gave the world. I swear, that guy has no bounds. :D

Good stuff. I agree with you completely.

The first Kate Bush song I ever heard was "Running Up That Hill", and it's not much of an exaggeration to say that song knocked me on my ass. I love a number of the artists she's inspired through the years (especially Tori--I saw her in concert in 2005 and got her to sign a copy of her book for me), but Kate Bush's best work outshines them all. She's easily in my top-three favorite female performances and pretty damn high up in any overall top-ten, too.
