In the remastered remastered master we won't have that old dull beige Odo any more. EVERYTHING will be prettier.

Wow. That must be from the "Angels on Skates" episode of Charlie's Angels, when Rene was about 39.

One convention I went to, Armin Shimerman taught everyone how to pronounce Rene's last name. Unlikely I'll ever be able to use it though.

Out of the two remaining shows, DSN would be the cheaper of the two to remaster. As it has far fewer CGI elements than VOY.

So whilst it might not sell as many units as VOY, the lower cost might counter-act that.

You've also got to consider that it might make it more attractive for networks to repeat.

Despite being one of the more critically acclaimed shows, and it topping polls (or near top) of favourite Trek shows. It is one of the ones to air less frequently.

yes, but one can always dream... ;)
At any rate it'd be nice (though highly unlikely) if they'd darn all plot-holes properly.

If they remaster DS9 and "darn the plot holes" in the process I will be enraged.

Prepare to be angry then. You can bet good money that only visual goofs will be addressed at most.

You'll have to reread my post. I don't want anything else done, this fantasy about fixing story arcs was not mine

My apologies. I mistook the usage of darning there. :D

Oh heh.. yes it does have two meanings.

I can't imagine anything worse than a chopped to bits DS9 "fixing" stuff in someone's eyes.

The remastered TOS episodes did fix a couple of goofs. One I know of for sure was the noticeable size discrepancy between the Constellation and the shuttle relative the planet killer in "The Doomsday Machine".

Primarily, I'm just excited to see what exterior shots of DS9 will look like. Just look at the Enterprise in Season 1 of TNG-R, the difference in quality is amazing once re-scanned.

I wonder if they'll add shields to the big battle scenes, since a lot of people noticed their absence and it's weird to have shields in some battles and not others.
