Read the whole crazy letter here

Wow, I knew he was a fan but $10,000? That's a lot of money.

More significantly, if I had them after this last movie, I'd sell them for $10000,

Still I'd like to top his attempt at most insulting bid. 5 bucks! Gimme the reigns to the franchise and I'll make a Terminator movie that will make the original look like T2!

I wish Arnold Schwarzenegger would buy the rights.

I love Joss, but the Terminator franchise is so played out by now, I'm not even sure James Cameron could breathe new life into it.

Drew McWeeny from HitFix.com (formerly Moriarty at Aint It Cool News) sums up my feelings on Terminator pretty eloquently here:

I do think someday the franchise could be rebooted... maybe as a trilogy starting with the future war, then the events of the first terminator as the sequel. I think the series needs a loooong break, however.

Ouch! Forgotten already? You were just down ther
I don't want the rights to the whole franchise but I do wish to buy some of the trademark rights for my own line of killer robots and defense network computers. I'm hoping the vague name recognition will help me sell some units to skeptical DOD bean-counters who don't remember the movies all that well.

They'd be fools to pass up my offer! My robots will exterminate humanity at twice the efficiency and half the cost of any of my competitors! Plus, if you order now, you'll get your own personal Summer Glau or Kristanna Lokken model absolutely FREE!

He has expressed an interest in them and has been in talks with one of the Hedge Funds that are pursuing the rights.

The first Terminator film was the only one I really liked, anyway.

For sake of Pete... if we must have two concurrent Terminator rights threads, can we at least keep this one to Whedon's lame-o "humor" piece? :vulcan:

If you can't handle multiple conflicting timelines, you shouldn't be posting in a Terminator thread... ;)

Don't you know, it's Joss Whedon. He gets twice the love.:p

And, for something to be a humor piece, it has to be funny.
