Normally I don't really have a problem with uncanny valleyness but that freaks me the hell out!

Danai Gurira (Michonne from The Walking Dead) has the kinda face that would fit well.

Hmm... Are we going for clone wars era AT or a more grown / matured look?

Chronologically she should have been about 18 by the time TCW ended, but still didn't have full-length head tails or horns. Or at least, not like Shaak Ti's. Maybe Togruta pysically mature slower than humans. Or maybe it varies from individual to individual, and some of them never develop long ones.

By the time of ANH she would be 37 - 38, and by the events of ROTJ, 41 - 42. Older than Luke, a lot younger than Vader or Obi-Wan. About contemporary with Solo.

... Do I really get to be the first one to argue, three pages in, that the visual design of the character is simply awful, bad enough in CG, but a guaranteed loser in photorealism/live action? I just image searched some cosplays, and man, is it a dire design. The white/blue Bib Fortuna-like hair is gross and clashes with itself, becoming even worse against the John Boehner skin. I get that they'd already done the blue woman thing with Secura, but they certainly didn't do anywhere near as well.

No, I don't think Abrams and Co. will want anything to do with her in live-action movies.

Shaak Ti has the same colouring and doesn't look awful.

Cosplayers don't exactly have a movie-level makeup budget or professional makeup artists / weta-workshop alien-body-bits people to work on them.

This isn't dressing up as Chun-Li we're talking about here. This is an alien with horns and head-tails that need to look completely integrated, need to look like part of her body. That's kinda beyond the average cosplayer, but I trust the Lucasfilm crew to do it right

Eh, her look's okay for a scene or two or a cameo, but I don't see a character that weird playing a major part, and that whole head/tail thing is pretty darn silly.

Sure, but Aayla Secura cosplayers look much better. At least Secura has the sense to put her giant head-tails behind her back, and to not mix three vastly different body colors. ;)

Yes, that's right. I was wondering about carbonite as well, it would certainly help keep Ahsoka of youthful, lightsabre-slashing age. And it would actually be a quite believable reason for her to disappear after The Clone Wars and then re-appear whenever throughout either the mysterious "Underworld" timeline of III-IV or post ROTJ.

I'm kinda liking all these suggestions. Rosario Dawson is good and I think Mila Kunus is an excellent suggestion.

Of course ideally it would be Ashley Eckstein... too bad her eyes are so tiny in comparison to TCW's animated Ahsoka's gigantic saucers!

    Meaning excellent.

There are vast piles of crap too. And a bunch of fucked up porn type stuff.

But there are also kickass pieces, like the one above.

Yeah, so of the fan art on there is really creepy. Especially when you remember that she's supposed to be a young teenager.

There's an English singer named Keisha Buchanan, a former member of the band the Sugababes, who I just realised has a face that is a downright uncannily good match for Ahsoka.

It's too bad she's a singer, not an actress... course loads of singers have made the crossover to acting before.

The Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures live action series was shot before the second season of the cartoon went into production.

Richards and Kennedy were cast in the animated show because it was airing on Fox same as the live action and they wanted casting continuity.

As it turned out Fox delayed airing of the live action series for more than a year because of Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey. I guess they wanted to use the movie to drum up free publicity for the show or something.

Whatever the reason the second season of the animated show ended up airing before the live action version.

^That would explain it. I wondered if that was the case. But given how long it takes to produce animation (typically 6-12 months per episode), that had to be a pretty long delay. The live-action series didn't debut until a year after Bogus Journey came out.

Anyway, I guess that means those three don't work as answers to JD's question, have any actors played a role in animation and then played the same character in live action? But I know of one who did: Jeremy Ratchford played Banshee in the '90s animated X-Men and then reprised the role in the failed Generation X pilot.
