I have been out of the tech scene for some time and I'd like to replace the mobo/CPU/mem of my computer. I have only three conditions:

-1. the total cost of those three parts is less than $300.
-2. the mobo MUST have optical out
-3. I'd like an AMD processor (as I have all the right fans and sinks for an AM2/3).

I looked at NewEgg and TigerDirect, but I'm at a loss for what actually may be good.

The machine is mostly an entertainment center, but it does gaming often as well. I currently have a Pcie 9800GT 1G Graphic card that would stay with the setup.

Do you have any links to stores that would work to complete the set?

    Thanks.

Those parts are actually not bad at all. For what you need you'd be happy with them.
