Only 3 votes for "The Maltese Falcon"? This film is classic film noir!

If it helps, Chinatown only managed four, and it's pretty much the epitome of neo-noir.

Body Heat didn't get any votes at all.

Who would have thought that Blade Runner would be so popular on a BBS full of science fiction and fantasy fans?

Maybe the movie doesn't have that many fans, or maybe the image isn't all that evocative of the film noir esthetic. The picture certainly qualifies as neo-noir -- it's basically Double Indemnity with naked stuff.

I've always liked that movie, but I couldn't bring myself to vote for something in color.

And thanks for the one vote for Richard Widmark (Kiss of Death, Panic in the Streets, Night and the City)!
