Turns out it's not a bug or glitch, just that the app isn't compatible with iPod Touch, not even the latest one (which I have). Oh well.
Cool little app. Nice to see it's an actual walkable 3D world and not a bunch of Myst-like page renders tied together with hot spots. I bought the extra gallery room for the hell of it. Some nice paintings, but a little creepy all the same - one in particular. I get the impression that they're going to try to expand on it if it gets enough interest. The main hallway is blocked off with "boxes" and a couple of doors and ladders are inaccessible but may be opened up in the future. I like where this app is going and it seems to be a pretty faithful representation of the original set.
"Stargate Command" is now available for Android, along with the $1.99 add-on "Teal'c's Revenge". Gateworld
I don't get it. I have a Galaxy Nexus, which is a pretty new and high-end phone, and it's not compatible. What, do I have to have one of the tablet versions?
From what I've read of the app's requirements and the Galaxy Nexus, the Galaxy Nexus is too low-end for it. According to the dev, the app requires Snapdragon S4 or higher, which basically means anything made before 2012 is out of the question. Though going by the comments at the linked article, even having one of the newest phone models doesn't guarantee anything. Makes you wonder how thoroughly they tested the app prior to release.
