I just watched the remaster of The Corbomite Maneuver and I was again struck by how my I like it. It's only real failing is pacing. Some of the scenes are really well paced and others drrrrag. If it weren't for those scenes it would be one of my top episodes in terms of really selling the idea of this as a functioning ship and crew.

    DS9: "Afterimage"

Pretty good ep for both Ezri and Garak. I like Ezri; I just wish DS9 had gotten one more season so they could have spread her development out a bit more (thereby giving other storylines more room to breathe).

I just finished watching that one a little while ago. I know it's just a bit of pointless fluff/filler, but it's one of my favorite episodes. I'm a big baseball fan and "Take Me Out to the Holosuite" is just pure fun. :D

Yes it is, and that's why it's NOT "pointless fluff/filler". And I say that as somebody who DOESN'T care for baseball.

Great episode. I think the pro counsel is one of Trek's most underrated 'villains'. :techman:

Enterprise: Shockwave 2-parter, and Carbon Creek.

I don't know why the latter is hated so much. Granted, it's not a great episode, but it IS a fun and enjoyable one.

HBO Family? I have to admit I've never heard of this channel. Plus, I haven't had HBO in years. Does the "Family" designation mean that they edit their content the same way the old Family channel used to?

Carbon Creek is a hated episode? I liked it, even though I remember a controversy around the whole Velcro invention. Still, it was very enjoyable and anything with T'Pol ended up being a very interesting episode anyway.

I thought Carbon Creek was a well received episode but maybe I'm wrong? I thought it was one of Enterprise's best and definitely a highlight of the first two seasons.

I haven't seen a movie yet that they've actually edited.

TNG, "The Measure of a Man" -- one of the best Trek episodes ever, IMO.

Watched A Simple Investigation, Business as Usual, and Ties of Blood and Water a few nights ago. 2 of those episodes are some of the best and most underrated DS9 has to offer. The other one (The first one) had a great ending, but felt like it took a long time to get there.

    "Assignment: Earth."

Sigh. I still wish somebody had greenlit a tv series about Seven and Roberta and Isis . . . .

"You Are Cordially Invited". There are loads of great moments in that episode, including Martok and Sirella's scene together (I thought you would be in your grave by now/I shall endeavour to die soon, this year if possible), Bashir and O'Brien in the Klingon "bachelor party" (Kill Worf!) and the nice scene in which Sisko talks to Jadzia.
