This is Star Trek questions that need answering week two.

Who is the best doctor overall? It doesn't have to be one of the big ones (Bones, Bashir etc.) but I reckon discount The Doctor. I haven't seen any Voyager but I would imagine he's a pretty good doctor because that's what he's programmed for.

I reckon Beverly Crusher is the best overall because she's a great healer and is good with the people-y side of things. McCoy is a great healer but he does tend to overreact a bit sometimes.

I'll take the EMH, (sorry, can't discount a whole main character doctor!)

Knowledgeable, hilarious (if at times inadvertently) and always up for banter. I would have such a great time with him. Oh and he can heal my booboos too.

In terms of medical skills and abilities it would have to be the EMH.

Just to hang out with and party, McCoy.

    Interesting life stories, Phlox.

Phaser target practice, both Crusher and Bashir.

    Phlox as my GP.
    Bones as my cardiologist.
Bashir for rare diseases and pathology.
    EMH for surgery/ER.
    Crusher as the family pediatrician.
And though her life wasn't long enough to advance to being a physician, Kez would be the choice obstetrician.

Depends. If I was dying I'd say the EMH, but I think Bashir had much the better bedside manner once he grew up a bit.

    McCoy.

I wouldn't let Phlox touch me. I'd come to him with an ailment and he'd tell me I was fated to die even though two aspirin would fix me right up.

McCoy. I want a plain, old, country doctor who runs a state of the art hospital all by himself.

I almost thought of Phlox, but for a guy who's supposed to be embarrassed about showing his body, he sure likes talking about sex a lot.

    @Redfern: lol :P

The EMH, maybe his bedside manner could be better, but he's a genius.

Yeah... But for a good old-fashioned, non-homicidal robot miracle probe, I'd pick Bones McCoy every time. All the others just seem bland in comparison.
