Thank god for pay tv, thank god for reruns!

    Season five is frikkin awesome!!

I saw the above ep for the first time last night.

    Poor Doc :(

I totally get where he is coming from, I love Seven too, in the sense that I want to mate with her

At least the poor fella can delete the offending portions of his program and forget it ever happened. He won't do that tho will he.

    Poor Doc :(

Unfortunately, once he realized his "attraction" he was ethically bound to stop being her physician. Something he never did, and another reason why I hate the C/7 aspects of Endgame... or rather the D/7 aspects of the C/7 aspects of Endgame.

Heh, it's not like there was another Doctor on board, so, ethical or not, he was the only Doctor available, and she needed a Doctor frequently, Be'Lanna may have been helpful for some things, but, she couldn't replace the Doctor.

She never had any serious problems till "imperfection"... and B'Elanna could have taken care of her cybernetic components while Tom played the Physician assistant role for most issues. Anything that rose to the level of Season seven's core melt down would have been done by a team approach (as it was) which makes it easier to protect against lapses in judgement.

Contemporary Docs in the USA would lose their License for dating their current patients, because its supposed to be about what's good for the patient, not what's good for the Doctor.

It doesn't matter does it, since the Doc's love is unrequited? It's not like he was in any sort of romatic relationship with her.

Or will he be?? Go on, spoil me plz :D

    They have babies.

See, now you will have to keep paying for your pay tv to find out.

What I am about to say is 100 percent real and actually happens in season six.

Some villain removes the Doctors ethical subroutines after which the EMH gets right inside Seven of Nine.

Yes, I was indeed shocked that stuff like that was allowed on TV.

But then it was far more graphic on Farscape when Scorpios gave Crichton the same sort of handjob... And incredibly antiseptic on Eureka last month when Alison ran out of steam with her toys, that half way through Jack had to finish himself off.

    You're still young and naive.

It's all bad acting and bad writing.

    However, luckily.

It's also charming and darling which makes up for that.

    Mostly.

    Sometimes.

This description of Voyager made me feel warm and fuzzy.

I never had the impression that Tom's medical understandings went that far. I basically saw him as someone that can apply a band-aid or fix a tummy ache. I never saw him as someone with the knowledge or understandings of cybernetics. B'Elanna either. Harry seemed to understand Borg tech more than she did, wasn't he the one that built all the Borg/Federation tech devices?

    Me too!

And if you can't wring charming and funny out of the "bad" ones then cheesy is just as enjoyable.

The thing I didn't get about this episode is that the Doctor was supposed to be in love with Kes.

I know she'd been gone for a years but the heart wants what the heart wants.

    Also.

We saw the exact moment he fell in love with her.

While she was singing because she was singing.

Does he only love her when she is singing?

You'd think that if he had been in love with her all along, then he would have said something two episodes earlier in Think Tank when she decided to jump ship... But he was fine with that.

Not that he was hopelessly in love with her yet.

I always wanted his holowife to come back.

    Weeeeeendy Schaal.

The Wife "He's mine! He's mine! You can't have him!"

The Borg "He's yours! He's Yours! I don't want him!"

Is he philandering if her program is paused rather than erased?

    HA!

Brannon is credited with 'story' for this one.

Which means that he actually wrote the first draft rather than usual where he (All and any producers do this. It's how the job works.) just reads a script, corrects some spelling to get a writing credit on imdb.

Is this how he thinks he wound up with his then actress girlfriend?

Oh pfft.. Kes was his first love and he was more in love with the idea that he, a hologram, could be in love. He was just playing with the whole concept, trying on dress ups.

Yes Remembrance knocked the Star Trek Franklin Mint plates off my wall too.
