That reminds me- has Ken Kerchaval been through some recent health issues? He looks pretty frail on the screen. How long has it been since he had lung cancer?
I don't know. I just checked his Wikipedia page and saw this though. It doesn't answer your question, but damn!
Tell me about it. I did a WTF when I read that, too. Poor guy, he just looks so pale and wizened. My mother and I were shocked when we first saw him.
Off the top of my head: Joel Grey Brenda Strong Jerry Hardin James Cromwell Kate Mulgrew Barry Jenner Glenn Corbett Morgan Woodward Barbara Babcock Susan Howard Chris Demetral Lance Le Gault Leigh McCloskey John Anderson John Beck Ron Canada Jerry Hardin Taran Fahir Rosalind Ingledew/Allen Sam Anderson Jerry Hardin Phillip Anglim William Windom Nicholas Coster Jonathan Harris Robert O'Reilly Susan Howard Mary Crosby Leigh Taylor Young Beth Toussaint Monte Markham Ray Wise Gerrit Graham Michele Scarabelli Michael Bell Joey Aresco Bruce French Charles Napier Joanna Miles Paul Carr Cliff Potts K Callan Kathryn Leigh Scott Henry Darrow Joanna Cassidy Mitchell Ryan George Coe John Larroquette Warren Munson Charles Cooper Tricia O'Neill Biff Yeager Erich Anderson ...all appeared on a Dallas series or film as well as a Star Trek series or film.
Looks like he's been cancer-free for about 14 years. http://www.people.com/people/archive/article/0,,20103665,00.html
I wasn't sure what to make of the news that they were bringing Dallas back. I barely remembered the show as a kid, but so far I have been enjoying the revival. Love all the backstabbing and Jordana Brewster.
I know the IMDb isn't perfect, but I can't find a mention of Harris being on any iteration of Trek, or Dallas for that matter. Peter Mark Richman (Ralph Offenhouse from TNG: "The Neutral Zone") was on Dallas in Season 2's "Old Acquaintance," playing Maynard Anderson, who has to dump Jenna Wade as a mistress when he gets appointed to a high-profile government job in Washington.
That is my bad entirely.... I meant to write "Joshua Harris" -- he played Christopher Ewing in the later years of the series and also Timothy in TNG's "Hero Worship." I'd forgotten about Peter Mark Richman. I knew he'd been a staple on Dynasty, but completely forgot he'd been on Dallas too!
I didn't even know he'd been on Dynasty until I was looking at his IMDb credits. Before I saw "Old Acquaintance," I knew him from TNG and a pair of appearances on Knight Rider.
He also played Reverend Snow, Suzanne Somers' father on Three's Company. Which is ironic, because: Suzanne Somers played Chrissy Snow on Three's Company. When she left, Jenilee Harrison replaced her as Chrissy's cousin, Cindy. Harrison left Three's to be on Dallas, where she played Jamie Ewing-Barnes, cousin to J.R., Ray, Gary and Bobby. Patrick Duffy (Bobby) later starred in Step By Step with (wait for it)... Suzanne Somers!
I'd forgotten Jenna was on the series as early as S2. I always remember her as a latter series character.
Yeah, this was when she was played by Morgan Fairchild. Later she came back as Priscilla Presley, right?
Morgan Fairchild played Jenna in her first appearance(s), (I can't remember if she was in more than one episode at the time) and then played by someone else for a bit, and when she returned for the majority of her stay on Dallas, she was played by Priscilla Beaulieu Presley until her departure in 1988.
I like what J.R said about Jenna: "She was more like us than Pam ever was". He might have meant that as a compliment, not sure it was taken that way
Ah, you guys are just making the new show seem even more lame by comparison. Where's the old JR wit? This episode inadvertently compared Kristin Shepard to a cow. I guess that was wit of a sort, however inadvertent.
