^This is a real trip down memory lane. Thank you. Unfortunately, this one still has that lout from TV Guide mucking up the "Star Trek Insights" with his inaccurate and slightly pandering information. Not to mention, he comes off as full of (sh)it.

Yeah, maybe I should just edit him out when I do these ;)

I trimmed up "City" last night. Should have it uploaded soon. Harlan is one angry guy...

Hmmmmm.... I think Nimoy covered new ground.

I THINK he was more 'behind the scenes politics' centered than Shatner's sorta 'fannish' perspective.

If I ever have the time and wherewithal I plan on transferring my analog VHS batch of Nimoy hosted SciFi programs to digital and post to your blog potablog or on YouTube.

Thank you so much for these. They are the most informative episode-specific insights I have seen, and the fact that they are delivered by the cast and crew make them treasures. I wish they had been on the DVDs.

By the way, I have been listening to Harlan Ellison's vainglorious harangues over his script for years. (I think Roddenberry made the right decision in making Kirk decide to let Edith die - it makes his leadership more resolute and the original end was a predictable, romanticised cliche.) Is the original Ellison script available to read or download anywhere? I'm curious to see just how deprived we have been.

I also seemed to have missed this thread until now. As soon as I replace my stolen computer, I plan to watch them all. I have not seen those since the original airing.

I remember when I first had cable installed. Up came the message that Sci-Fi Channel would be coming soon. I think I left the television on that channel every night until it premiered, afraid to miss the first shows to air. Unfortunately the revamped SyFy Channel has strayed far from its science fiction roots.

It does make one wonder how things would've gone if they hadn't written Yeoman Rand out. In the end, it probably was for the best.

That being said, it's certainly safe to say that there are a thousand better ways it could've been done than how it happened.
