I´m thinking about starting a new fan production project. A Star Trek Comic Series. Basically normal comics (but online), maybe including small anmiations and sound effects. At the moment the idea is to develop a new ship and crew during the post-Nemesis era...but that might change.. whatever "we" decide.

I have a good webserver with a lot of bandwith where I can host the project website, message board, wiki and everything else needed.

Right now I´m looking for project members:

    - writers
    - graphic artists
    - website designer / programmer
    - etc.

Please post if you´re interested in beeing a part of the project. Be sure to include:

    1. How much time do you have to work for the project?
    2. What are your talents?
    3. Do you have an prior experience with similar projects?

So this would basically be a kind of flash video webcomic? The concept is pretty nifty, and original, so I'd be interested to see what becomes of it.

This sounds like a very interesting project! Good luck and I hope to hear more about it very soon. :)

Wish I had the time to help out....

You know what... PM me, and tell me what kind(s) of stories you're looking for... I might consider offering some writing for this, if you like.

Have you seen this at ToonPub?
Star Trek: The Derelict http://toonpub.webnode.com/the-derelict-star-trek/ . It's a TOS era animated graphic novel using the already developed Avatars at GoAnimate! I'm working on an article about this website for my Star Trek Fan Film website.

Well, since this is post-TNG-era, I'm sure the creator will have to make up some new avatars/characters.

Since I have received no PM yet, I'll respond here to some of these items...

I might be willing to offer some writing talent.

I have written "Star Trek: Entomalians" and "Battlestar Urantia", both fanfic sagas that have been posted here, on the Trek BBS, and are both currently being developed as fanfilm productions.

I have nothing but time, as I am currently not employed.

As I said, if you want my help, send me a PM.

Interesting. You might want to check in with Intrepid, a fan film series based after Nemesis. They might like to work with you in using their characters as a first effort for you.

Also, I've seen online comics at StarTrekAnimated.com. They're done with stills from the Animated Series like back in the 1970s, and they're a good read besides. That might be a good place to see how someone else did the online comics thing.

Keep us informed as to how the project is doing.

@BolianAdmiral: Thanks for your intrest. Would you Be interested in leading à writing Team?

We could use goanimate...but theres also free Special Comic drawing Software. This project could prove very versatile. Different styles could be Mixed or switched. Flash would Be an Option of course. Im going to Set up the Website/Forum then it will Be easier to discuss possibilities and Plans. Using an existing Ship and Crew would Be the easiest Way. But doing our own Thing would Be more intresting.

All types of graphics. 2D, 3D, everything.

    For example:

    - Panels
    - Backgrounds
    - Characters
    - Objects
    - Buildings
    - Ships

etc...everything a comic needs. The exact style need to be developed as part of the project.
