What politics would that be? I'm not seeing any in Remender's comments. He talks about the team. The relationship between the members. And the villain's motivations and plans.

The comic is by Loeb. Expect it to be retconned immediately afterwards.

Sigh. Wolverine was so much cooler when his past was mysterious.

The only Marvel read for me this week was Punisher #14.
I'm going to miss Rucka's take on Punisher but with the War Zone mini that's still 8 months away.
I'll be very curious what team concept they are going to place Frank onto and what circumstances lead to him "agreeing" to it.

Not really. It was just that Daniel Way never bothered to take full advantage of the story telling opportunities presented when Wolverine suddenly regained his memories in HoM. Instead of one hundred years of Wolverine adventures, we got Daken.

It has the potential to make him the greatest self-absorbed monster on the planet, punishing the world for something he himself did.

And I actually liked Daken - maybe one of the only two decent ideas Marvel has introduced in the last decade, the other being Winter Soldier/Bucky as Cap.

Agreed. Hickman has been amazing. I'd love to see him return to S.H.I.E.L.D.

S.H.I.E.L.D. is still ongoing...he's just been busy with other things lately.

    Next week's previews...

For me, Captain Marvel, FF, Journey Into Mystery, New Mutants, and Winter Soldier. I'll also be getting this week's issue of Uncanny X-Men. It was the only book being pulled for me this week and it wasn't worth the trip for just the one book.

Are there people right now being paid not to make SHIELD comics.

    What an unusually timid conspiracy.

Looks like "Avengers Vs X-Men" will be the model that Marvel uses for all future event books (multiple rotating creators and artists). I just hope that there is better coordination next time between them or they're going to be having the same problems again and again.

Also..."Winter Solider" is ending in January. :(

Ah well...yeah, it won't be the same without Brubaker. So I'll be dropping too.

I don't entirely understand why you'd leave a title immediately after a change in writer, unless it's an author you already know you don't like. We know the industry needs new voices, so why not give the new person a chance on a title you've liked?

I'm sure the new guy will do a fine job. I'm just not interested because Brubaker is the one who established Winter Solider and the relationship with 'Tasha in the first place, his writing is what makes the dynamic in the book so compelling. I'm just not interested in another writer. To me this was Brubaker's book. It has his stamp and work all over it.

I almost feel the same way about "Fantastic Four" and "FF" but am giving Fraction a chance because I've like some of his stuff in the past.

Action Comics will be the same over on the DC end ...depending on who the writer is that succeeds Grant Morrison, I might drop the book entirely.

Financial reasons is one reason I'm going to TPB's for my DC books as soon as the current arcs are over. That and I also have stocked up on so many TPBs from shows and/or online sales I have plenty of reading material.
