Abby and Crane need to step up their game and prepare themselves better for the upcoming battles. Icabob wasn't even carrying a weapon in that house until he found that axe. It they want to take on the forces of darkness that's not going to cut it.

You want them to be Sam and Dean.

I want a scene where Sam and Dean are getting into the Impala in the background, just in an easter-eggy kind of way.

I could see Ichabod driving an Impala.

But seriously, Ichabod should carry a gun. He was a soldier. Walking into situations where you might run into the Headless Horseman armed with only a flashlight is incredibly dumb.

    Hmmm.

What judge would grant him a pistol permit?

I too was bored to tears by the Captain's family soap opera. That's not the kind of scene I watch this show for.

I don't know about New York law, but in some jurisdictions, one can be deputized by the sherif and, ergo, be allowed to carry a service piece.

Just wondering: does it look likely that Sleepy Hollow will be picked up for another season?

edit: I see they have been.

They got a second season after 2-3 episodes, but only 13 episodes this season, which ends January 20th. Season 2 should start in September.

I'm a huge Victor Garber fan, so this makes me very happy.

Did episode 10 air in the US on Monday? We had episode 9 (the one with the tree creature in the "haunted" house) last night, followed by an announcement that the show would return for the last 4 episodes in fucking January...

Yeah that bit bored the shit out of me this week. Shame really.

I did like the two sword duels we got in the previous episode...

The chief's ex-wife had WAY too much lips.

We had a rerun of episode 2. Episode 10 is scheduled for next Monday, the 9th, but it's pre-empted for holiday specials on the 16th and probably on holiday hiatus after that.

Hm, then it's very annoying that they're not showing it in the UK on Wednesday...

I need to rewatch Monday's episode again. I was on the phone for most of the time and didn't really pay much attention. But it appears Ichabod's son was given up for adoption. At some point, he fell to the hands of a cruel man who was beating him with a whip. And there was a coven of witches that buried him alive when he was older(?). What a tragic life ...

I still watch the show, but lately I feel it's been missing something. Like it's been riding the wave of the pilot's energy a little too long.

I'm still really enjoying it. Was this the first time we've gotten a face to face between Moloch & Ichabod?
I thought the Golem was pretty cool. I've been getting a kick out of the creature designs in this so far.

I have to wonder about Katrina, though, considering that she made the creepiest doll in the universe to comfort her baby. Seriously, that doll would keep Wednesday Addams up at night.
