I think so. I'm not as familiar with some of the stuff they did back in the '80s like The Storyteller and Fraggle Rock, so could they could have had something sci-fi in that era. But for the post-Sopranos era it is.

Looking on Wikipedia, I find there was a short-lived 1997 anthology called Perversions of Science, a sci-fi-oriented spinoff of Tales from the Crypt, adapting stories from EC's Weird Science comics. But that's about it.

well he's there in all of so far in em.. one form or another. Sadly the problem is going to be they will neuter Chrisjen Avasarala's character and all the wonderful lines she gets...

Disneyland or, "Wally World," with the evil robots. I'd love to see Hopkins as some kind of alternate universe Walt Disney - evil Walt.

The original Westworld had three different worlds-- Westworld, Medievalworld, and Romanworld, I think-- so hopefully this show will have multiple worlds as well. I'm fine with them focusing on the Western element, though-- I like genre-bending Westerns.

Me too, and then if the show continues we could always go to the other areas in future seasons. I think it could be actually kind of fun if each season had a different theme. Western for season 1, Roman for 2, and Medival for 3, if they stick with the ones RJDiogenes mentioned.

I'm glad to see Michelle Forbes getting a new gig.
From what I've read about the comics online, I know that
Retro Girl is the victim in the homicide case that makes up the first arc. So does this mean we'll only see Michele in the first episode? Or could there be flashacks throughout the season?
I just looked Copely up on Wikipedia and according to that this will be his first regular TV gig. I liked him in District 9, so I look forward to seeing him in this.

Yeah, there were lots of flashbacks in the book.

Saw something about a Minority Report based series... which sounds a bit X-Files/Fringe-like...
