    Danke.

    Only if I'm good.

It'd be the best offering NBC has this season.

It depends on how you make your chili, I suppose. I use beef, beans, and tomato in mine, and I never add water but neither do I drain the liquids from any of the ingredients. When I tried it with beer I drained off some of the liquids and added the beer, and I cooked it about twice as long as I normally would, adding beer to keep it moist. It was AMAZING!

^And if you roast beef (in particular) in a roaster, say a Römertopf, beer also does the trick ;)

^A pot roast cooked in coffee is delicious! And I think it's actually a fairly common way to cook Yankee pot roast.

^I am definitely going to look into that and try and cook that way :)

I'm a bit afraid that it'll ruin the eating experience for people who can't abide coffee though. Tell me, does the taste come through very strong?

I mean: if you grill a chicken on a beer can it doesn't taste like beer, and if you use a can of cola the cola-taste isn't in the meat... but coffee, really?

^It actually doesn't taste at all like coffee, to my recollection, but it has been a long while since I've had it. Also, I brew bold coffee in a french press for ten minutes with 50% more grinds than recommended...I might not be the best at detecting the more subtle coffee flavor. ;)

^I do the french press too, and let the grinds fall to the bottom by themselves (a bit of stirring is necessary) (AND spoon off the bitter foam) before 'pressing' (here's the trick: if you can't press it with your little finger and little to no muscle-power at all: the coffee isn't ready to be pressed!) and I use whatever beans in whatever amount I feel makes the best drink.

I must try roasting with coffee anyways

^HA! Everyone hates my coffee, but it sounds like you'd love it!

I don't have my mom's coffee pot roast recipe, but I'm sure if you googled it you could find one. Most Yankee pot roasts call for chopped carrots and small potatoes as well, but my mom always put in who grape or cherry tomatoes too. I'd highly recommend it!
