While I admit I never watched Jericho, but isn't this taking things a bit too far? After all, Jericho was originally canceled due to low ratings. It somehow got renewed for another season, but still dragged in low ratings. A movie isn't guaranteed to be any kind of box office hit. Hell, this is just going to be a repeat of the Serenity scenario.
If I were them I would make a post civil war 2 movie that happens to take place in the same universe as Jericho however doesn't include Jack or Jake or whatever, he sucks and will never be able to carry a movie.
The primary difference I see is that while Serenity's scope had to be artificially inflated because the TV show was too low-key, the same won't be true here. Jericho ended with Texas essentially declaring war on Cheyenne; that's a big story which, frankly, is better suited to a movie than a TV show anyway.
The basic concept and some of the characters would be fine to work into a movie or another TV series. I'm not holding my breath, tho.
ill believe it when I see it being filmed, same goes for the Arrested Development movie, and did they not learn from Serenity?
