^ Terry was meant to be about 17, IIRC. Arnie is too old. They'd need a newcomer.

I remember when the BB live-action movie was discussed, there was talk of Keanu Reeves - then in his mid-to-late 30s - as Terry. WTF?!

I've never seen Clint as old Bruce either. Too blue collar. Had they made that movie a decade or so ago, I'd have preferred to see Coburn or Newman play the part.

I'd like to see a late 40s, early 50s period Batman film that uses Dick Sprang's art as the source material. Something that's purposefully kitsch and doesn't get bogged down in the whole brooding Dark Knight of the last 20 years.

^Indeed, especially since he was already waning with The Dark Knight.

Frankly I don't have a clue at who could play Old Bruce.

    Although Beau Bridges may work.

It doesn't matter to me who directs and writes the next Batman movie as long as it's good and entertains me. Nolan has been able to do an amazing adaption and has set the bar pretty high for anyone who comes after him. Nolan should be the standard in terms of quality but not the take...if I'm making sense.

You're saying don't even try to copy Nolan but don't be Brett Ratner either. :)

Or you could just watch the Adam West series.

Yeah. The Penguin for Mayor bit was right out of the 60s TV show. Not to mention the pet Penguins with missiles on their heads. And Penguin finding the blueprints for the batmobile at the Gotham Public Library. Complete Westian camp but without the sense of joy and fun that the old series had.

True, and that's typical of how superheroes are handled in both moives and comics today---instead of serving the characters, self-indulgent hacks morph them into whatever they happen to be in the mood for. :scream:

^ Not to mention making them/allowing them to kill their villains lol. I hate that.

The Big LeBatski. Co-starring John Goodman as Gordon ('Jim, I love you, but you've got to face the fact that you're a goddamn moron!).

Actually, Jeff was one of the names rumoured to be playing the role in the late 1980s.

Jeff Bridges as Old Bruce? Hmmm...I'm thinking...I'm thinking...you might be on to something. John Goodman has to be Bullock.

Blah, blah, other pages, just wanted to note that the second film was fucking awful, save the entertaining performance of Ledger. I don't hold out much hope for the third.

Bruce Willis, in a film directed by Robert Rodriguez, with Benicio Del Toro as the Joker, shot in "Sin City" style.
