The new Dutch King and Queen visited my city today...
It was a blink/take too much time aiming your camera and you miss it moment...
    Busy though...

What kind of public reception are the new Dutch royals getting? Are the younger generations over there more jaded and dismissive of a royal family or is there still a rush of patriotism and passion during events such as this?

^I'm lucky to have a fun boss!
Yes! Except that drinking out of square vessels is difficult...

Yep. My last year at a first year charter school for emotionally disturbed K-2 in the South Bronx pushed me over the edge (for obvious reasons). I could have managed another year or two, but more than that and I'd have burnt out. Kids deserve better than that, and it wasn't satisfying me anymore anyway. Right now I'm doing research, writing, and editing for an educational publishing house (mostly in science and math), and studying for my exams so that I can go to grad school.

I can't drink tea out of a blue mug, for psychological reasons.

^Blue is good for cocoa, though. Mugs are the one thing that I sort of have a collection of Well, other than books. And clothes. But those don't count. I really dislike useless things so I don't collect statues or toys or nicknacks, but mugs are useful! The best mug for tea is my Paddington Bear mug. I actually think that Who set would make really cute plant pots!

Yes cocoa would be fine, I do not object to that. Blue mugs make tea look weak though, which in turn makes it taste weak, and there's nothing worse than a weak cup of tea.

I collect one mug from each skiing resort I visit. It's really the only thing I make a point of doing collecting-wise now. Most of them are stuck together with glue and therefore undrinkable from now though, as I insist on actually using them, which is probably contraindicated for a mug collection.

Here's a further strangeness. I also have exactly the same desktop image, but before somebody shopped a Tardis into it:

Ah, the notorious Xindi-Amphibian. They're always getting into trouble and meddling in human affairs.

You're a Daria fan? Nice. I used to watch and enjoy the MTV show back in the day.

^Daria was my high school experience in every way. So apt, in fact, that the aptness has grown in retrospect. That's the birthday card my coworkers made for me.
