I registered over 2 years ago, but I only recently became "active". I'm a very slow poster, and that's one of the reasons for me to do this introduction, it will help me on my way to an Avatar. Well here I go! My name is Mark Rademaker, born 1980. I live and work in the Netherlands, my biggest hobby and nowadays my second "job" is Starship design. I'm following Star Trek since it aired in the Netherlands in 1989 (TNG) Also one of the reasons why I joined this board. Since late 2006 I have done some work for the Ships of the Line calendars, something I really enjoy doing. Because of my design work I dont have much of a social life and this is probably also the reason why I'm still single. (As far as I know that is by choice, so I'm not really worried.) I enjoy cycling, science fiction, design, and computers in general. Music: I like electronic/techno, but anything goes. Here is the part that I wanted to skip, but I'm doing it anyway: Picture of me in 2007. A gallery with some of my work. http://mark-rademaker.blogspot.com/ My not always up to date blog. I always have and will without doubt continue to enjoy Trekbbs. Thanks for that! Please let me know if the links are working, I dont have much experience with the way Picasa webalbums is handling hotlinking.
I've been lurking on this board occasionally since the first season of Enterprise. Had the day off work today so I figured I would take the plunge.
~TAP TAP TAP~ ....IS THIS THING ON?..... Hi i'm new to the board and this is my first post. and want to say hi. hi. can i meet t'pol here? and maybe get a date? and, and, get a job at the space center? as an astronaut? or one of those guys in the big white suits that walk around outside and fix stuff?.... k'riq the uninmovable
Clawhammer -seven posts to go You might even have an avatar for the black and white avatar week! (first week of December) -keep posting! BorisX, Back in the day when I found this place, I almost immediately found a post I needed to reply to and signed up the very same day. Have you never felt like this in aaaall the time since you first found TBBS? Anyways: welcome to the nut-house _________________ I don't think so, but we do have a T'Bonz Food-threads are found in the lounges and in Misc. Try the fan-fiction forum Oh no! -the guys in white: They're coming to take me away, ha-ha, hi-hi, ho-ho
I had but I never joined for various reasons. I was a poster on a couple other boards over the past few years, and I just didn't need another distraction from school work on the computer.
^Oh, I se that happening! -nothing gets in the way of your post-count than spreading yourself too thin
Yeah, I was one of the first members over at save enterprise, well before the whole trek united thing started.
I already feel too thin. It may be because I have been spending time in The Neutral Zone. That is generally enough to flatten anyone.
Re: New Member Intro, "Thurisaz" I only got in trouble as a noob. Not even that kind of trouble. I actually participated in Star Trek DEBATES! Honestly, Thurisaz, and BorisX - hi - if you're like me, and you can get into bad arguments sometimes even in Miscellaneous, STAY AWAY FROM THE SPECIFIC STAR TREK FORUMS! Don't forget girls. Well, hello GOOGLE ERROR - NOT FOUND *coming back from the "are you hot" thread* Oh, yeah, you're the big muscle guy with the cool tattoo. Far out. Some of these remind me of Talyn from Farscape. Exactly my story. That was 2 months ago. Now I'm a fixture of the board.
Re: New Member Intro, "Thurisaz" Oh my, there's a blast from the past! Oh, but he's a Shameless equal opportunity hitter…
Ria75: Thanks! Btw I'm not a big guy with huge muscles, in fact I'm very skinny, and I dont have tattoo's either! Also I dont dare to post in the "Are you hot?" topic. attempt 2 to post a picture of me... p.s. So far I have screwed up almost every link I tried to post here....It's so bad that I could benefit from a personal moderator! doh!
Sorry, Clawhammer, I mixed you up with Thurisaz, somehow. I replied to too much stuff at once. No offense to him, but I found it a bit hard to connect the bodybuilding with the model-making. This makes more sense. That picture's fine. I feel more properly acquainted now. Links sometimes give me a hard time too.
Hey... I just noticed this thread was here as I only took notice of the Misc thread. But I've been here a few short days and made a few posts, may as well introduce myself a little... I'm a web developer in the west of Scotland and head a few posts here for a while to avoid work... eventually signed up as I had very little motivation. I also work for a company called SWA working on various projects, but mostly running their 'Fan Access' website. Outside of that I'm a massive nerd, single with one kid and get obsessed with projects I never finish - one of them being writing a Star Trek based book, but I got far too easily distracted with sketching pictures of what I thought everything should look like and never made much progress. I'm also terrible at introductions and ramble a lot. So I'll stop thee before I run into a big pile of poo...
Hmmm, this is the Misc. thread Welcome to the board. Procrastination is our game so you'll fit right in
Thread... board.. section... I'm good with words. You can see why my attempt at writing failed Procrastination's a good word - I'm just too lazy to write it
