Yeah the internet seems to think Reaper did poorly, I thought it did quite well.

However The CW instead of showing 90210 repeats EVERY night they should have been showing season 1 episodes of Reaper to get people in the mood.

Reaper has a loyal audience. In this day and age, when shows crash & burn if off the air for an extended period of time, that's nothing to sneeze at. Here's where the show left off:

Date ----------------Viewers in Millions ----------18-49 demo
    April 27, 2008 -----------2.250 --------------------1.0
    May 4, 2008 ------------ 2.580---------------------1.1
    May 11, 2008------------2.510---------------------1.0
    May 18, 2008------------2.080---------------------0.9
    May 25 2008-------------2.530--------------------- 1.1

Not much fall off despite being off the air for nine months. Also, the show reruns strongly.

When the final ratings came out, Reaper earned a 0.8 in the 18-34 demo. That's the demo the CW wants. No one 35 or over need apply. Those numbers won't please the CW suits.

So what was the 18-34 demo in April-May last year? Whatever it was then, it was good enough to get the show another season.

The 18-49 demo hasn't budged much, did the 18-34 change?

The CW suits are idiotic...if they could just fallow what people want instead of what they think will bring them money(and doesn't) The CW wouldn't be a joke.

Imagine if Angel, Enterprise and Tarzan(Which was a damn fine show) was on The CW.

[edit] Only show I currently watch or care about on The CW; Smallville, One Tree Hill, Supernatural & Reaper...Sometimes ANTM(Some of the wannabees are hot) [edit]

It hovered around a 1.1 or 1.2. Travis Yanan over at pifeedback always kindly provides the 18-34 demo with the final ratings every day. Going under a 1.0 won't please the teen girly trash programming suits at CW. Even the 18-49 was under a 1.0 last night. It was 0.9. I'm not surprised seeing as it went against Idol, but the CW suits are pretty clueless.

As Boston Legal said in one of the finale episodes "Older people don't buy things? Older people buys EVERYTHING!" :)

I like Reaper, but it's done for after these 13 burn off episodes this spring. It's funny, but it's certainly not appointment television. Supernatural is the only CW show worth scheduling time for.

I ment to say shows. If 4-5 shows make me a big fan...then The CW is very sad.

considering how few shows there is on the CW then 5 is all it takes.

actually I think we should look at what kind of fan we are as I see it there are two types

    1) fans of shows from theWB & UPN

    2) fans of shows that started on the CW.

I guess it's because I hardly watch any tv now so 4-5 shows to me is quite a lot. So ... you watch like 8 shows from each of the other networks?

Yeah how many shows are you watching from other networks? 10 each?

I watch House, LOST, Bones, BSG, and if I remember Reaper. That's all the TV shows I watch on all the networks.
