Thank you to everyone for your votes! I was surfing some knitting boards on Pinterest (a.k.a. "crack cocaine") when a humble pair of socks gave me the inspiration for this week's contest. The theme is SPIRALS, in nature, manmade, the works. Have fun with it, and I look forward to seeing your entries. The poll will go up on Monday.

Standard miscellaneous contest rules, no media, and standard BBS avatar rules, 150x150 pixels max, 140 KB max.

    Here's my entry, Celtic spirals:

Sigh. Beaten to my first two choices. :sigh: :rommie:

But all is not lost. Spirals are everywhere in nature. There are so many spirals, it makes me dizzy. And the most important spiral is:

Poppycock. Hand knitted socks are more important. ;)

You're probably right. My socks seem to be doing better than my DNA. Darn telomeres. :rommie:

Locutus comes up trumps again. :techman: Now I regret no longer having a Spirograph in the house.

Contest over. We can all go home now.

I used to love Spirograph when I was a kid. My friend had one and I used to play with it every time I was over.

I never had one as I think these first came on the market when I was a teenager. What I really wanted as a kid was a Lite Brite. My friend had one, and I'd play with it for hours. I never got my kids one because they would have lost all the little pegs within a week.

I had a Lite-Brite. Was a lot of fun. Don't know if they sell it anymore though.
