One of my favourites of the early TNG novels. With the TNG post finale books covered by the end of 2014, 2015 will see more of the earlier TNG books. Same for DS9 and VOY once all Relaunch novels are on the list.
Just a little heads-up: I've fallen behind so I have posted two threads today (S.C.E.: Fatal Error and TOS: Ishmael), will post another one on Wednesday or so and two next weekend to get back on track.

Still a long, loooong way to go, but were getting there. P.S.: @Sho: How feasible/doable would it be to have separate tables for each series beside the "master list"?
Someone requested a filter system before so you could show/hide individual series from the table, how about that?
So basically like if you use the filtering system in Excel? Sounds fine to me. I asked because we slowly are approaching the phase were the whole list gets a bit unwieldy. So being able to look at individual series would be a nice bonus.
^ I was considering parsing out all the series titles and turning them into checkboxes, but actually just a search field that acts as a filter and a "(e.g. TNG, DS9, ...)" where those are clickable to quickly add them to the field might be better. Along with a way to link this as ?filter=pattern so filtered lists can be hotlinked on the forums.
I feel this is a better place to discuss this: Yeah, any user can add tags if I'm not mistaken. If it's not too complicated (or error prone) it might be a non-intrusive way to get books on the table if they meet the poll requirements (like the Rebels trilogy).
On the whole I think we should attempt this . But it might take me a bit before I get around to it, work is pretty crazy right now. Will report back when it's done.
So until you're ready to work on it, should I go into the various threads and add review thread to the tags over time? Anyway, updated review thread list (I'll drop the weeks, as I'm so unreliable to post them on schedule anyway): VOY: The Farther Shore * Christie Golden ENT: Daedalus' Children * Dave Stern Stargazer: Gauntlet * Michael Jan Friedman Titan: Over a Torrent Sea * Christopher L. Let's go with "reviewpoll_v1" then (submitting to the engineer's impulse to build versioning into things, you never know if we end up changing the poll format at some point after all ...). Just a bit worried that's too non-human and people end up editing them away.
Finished. Added it to all threads already in the ranking plus the three Rebels book. I noticed that now the tag is by far the biggest in the tag cloud on the front page. I'll PM T'Bonz and trampledamage, so that they know what is going on.
Hmm I kinda forgot the tags are in a global namespace. Maybe we should go with "bookreviewpoll_v1" or so ... other subforums could conceivably also do review polls, but differently.
Somehow I doubt anyone will add the _v1 even if they use the tag reviewpoll for other review threads. I would say we let it be for now.
