    Re: Update time

Oh! Oh! I know! It's a shuttle giving birth to... um... relay station?

Well... If it is some kind of communication equipment... or anything, for that matter, I would suggest to make it foldable. This way it would be easier to park, fly, mantain and service this shuttle IMHO :)

Ah, no, it isn't a shuttle. Over at SFM people assumed that as well, and so I decided to change the look of the Stealth Reconnaissance Vehicle (SRV) to something sleeker.

Here is a first look at the top view.

Well, I just saw this thread for the first time today and I read the entire thing. I must say that I am very impressed. I really think you have some good skills there. Keep up the good work. I look forward to updates.

Cool design work. I quibble over the registry number format chosen here, but overall, it's solid design work.

I just want to say how amazing I think your work on this project is!

I especially like the huge plasma screen on the side of the SRV! :vulcan:

Brilliant work, Michael! Color work is inspiring and out of the box, as are your geometric shapes. It's all very believable as the time period it's supposed to be, and pushes the envelope for colored schematics using Illustrator. Can you tell I can't gush enough over this? :)

    Re: Update time

Looks... adequate, considering place-holderness of the shapes :)

One question about the turbolift, tho': is it me, or does it have four doors?

It's just you. :D The cabin is seen from the front, those are the only two doors the lift has.

*blinks* Two doors? Did I miss something? I was under impression that turbolifts have only one pair of doors.

No, you didn't miss anything. I misspoke - I meant the one pair of doors you can see. A pair of doors - two doors. Easy to confuse. :D

    Re: Improvements

I'm on a roll, it seems. Recently I felt compelled to continue my work on okudagrams, and I finished two of them, using my own colour scheme. Just imagine them on the Stargazer's Ops and Conn consoles - which shouldn't be that difficult, since we never saw the graphics that were there.

I'd make the borders white, or very light teal. Otherwise it's great.

    Re: Improvements

I see you're basing yours off the helm/nav consoles from the Enterprise-B. Since the Stargazer had a helm console similar to the refit Enterprise, you might want to look to Star Trek V for guidance. It's hard to get good screencaps of the console, though, because they had huge problems with reflective surfaces in that movie.

    Yeah, I know ... :(

However, I'll eventually do other bridge modules as well, so I can use those consoles there.
