As opposed to miniskirts and hippies in TOS ?

Yeah but that was ok because it was real Trek.

Executing people without a trial is bad. Friendship is good. Stupid laws are stupid, etc.

Revenge is not a sound basis for foreign policy.

The execution of someone without a trial is wrong.

Hubris (thinking someone like Khan is controllable and manageable) is usually a recipe for disaster.

    There are surely others.

I figured I'd start small. ;) But seriously, for fans of a show that promotes peace amongst mankind, you'd think they'd be more tolerant towards eachother.

For some of us, IDIC is more of a journey than a destination.

The execution message in STID was a good one. It made up for them executing Nero in the first movie. And yeah, it was an execution. Any kind of battling was over and they were communicating.

I loved the movie, seen it twice already.

And by the poll, it seems that most of us like this movie a lot! :)

But... the massive ship, despite its damage, was drifting into a known time travel phenomenon. A pre-emptive strike during a time of war.

I'd avoid the Neutral Zone forum if I were you. Just sayin'...

Eh, it's a bit dull at the moment, but it's not so bad. ;)

Finally got around to voting... solid A. Lacked a classic scene like the intro to Star Trek '09, otherwise would've gotten that plus, alhough Pike dying came close to evoking that ultimate grade.
