The first one basically says the following... - Cuddy's job will be taken over by someone we know. - The season will start off with House having been in prison for a while. - Charlyne Yi has is joining the cast. - Olivia Wilde is a big time movie star now and won't be on the show much. - They're not approaching this season as if it were the last because Fox wants another season. Wilson is the logical choice. In any case, I have doubts the show is going to be any good. I think the shark hath been jumped.
The money seems to be on Wilson as Cuddy's replacement. And Fox really thinks they will get yet another season? Are they nuts? I thought it was a given Hugh Laurie wasn't going to do another after this one.
I'd love to see Wilson take Cuddy's place. And if the show's budget is an issue, then putting him in that position makes more sense than hiring a new actor. House can, due to his brilliance and charm.
It didn't stop Thirteen last season, and she was in prison for an offense specifically related to being a doctor.

I think it would be pretty interesting character dynamic wise if Foreman became the new boss. Wasn't he already Houses boss briefly?
aw, i thought Tamblyn's character was very interesting. i had hoped she would join the cast this season. oh well.
I think it's going to be Dr Chase. Jesse Spencer signed a contract to come back for season 8. But I want it to be Wilson. QFT
Wilson's the most logical choice by far. Of the cited candidates, he has the most experience and seniority. Vogler is clearly on the list because he was House's most famous nemesis, but he's a billionaire magnate; he's not going to take a job as dean of medicine at a small teaching hospital, even if he has the qualifications for it, which I doubt. (Not to mention that he was only added to the show over the producers' objections and they didn't think his addition was successful.) And the other characters are too low in the hospital hierarchy (Wilson's the only one on the list who's a department head) or out of left field. I guess I can't completely rule out Sam (Wilson's ex), since I know so little about her; maybe she's secretly a highly experienced department head who's eminently qualified to be a dean of medicine. But that seems unlikely. Besides, having Wilson become House's boss poses the most challenges to their relationship and thus the most story possibilities. As mentioned, Foreman has already been House's boss and has long been established as having an adversarial relationship with House. So there's nothing new to be explored there. And none of the others really has what it takes to stand up to House effectively and keep him in check, which is a necessary condition for the job. The only way the dean could control House is if it's someone House respects and trusts, and with Cuddy gone, Wilson's the only candidate. With anyone else, House would either run roughshod over them or just rebel against them and probably lose his job rather quickly. Wilson's the only one who can make it work.
Me too. House + Wilson Always = win! And there is a lot of potential to spice up the dynamic. Plus, I think such a role would fit-in better with RSL's busier schedule.
It won't be Wilson unless they use it as an excuse for why he won't be around as much I don't see them doing it. I hope it's Wilson' ex, that would be fun. Later in the fall they will decide if it's the final season or not.
