I loved this week's episode. The first three episodes got progressively better.

So, this show is worth getting in to? I've seen it referenced elsewhere, but I don't want to commit to it on iTunes willy-nilly (I've essentially cut the cable cord).

    Only you can decide!

I'm loving it. Perhaps for you, that is the kiss of death.

I've discovered that I can watch it on Hulu, so I will give it a go there.

It's fun seeing the 80s background tech - office computers, phone consoles and such - and finding them totally familiar.

The show is actually making me care about a couple of dirty murdering commie spies.

Cold War nostalgia, who'da thunk it? Speaking about the third ep, it might have been better, from the KGB perspective, if they had honored the deal with the guys wife and left the FBI chasing their tails looking for a ghost rather than providing them with a dead body.

Agreed! Its why I finally tracked down this thread.

I did not see the first episode, I started with the 2nd I think. So even though I knew of the basic premise i was a little lost and hard to get into the show. Over a week ago I did see the first episode and not surprisingly its easier to understand. But on top of that I think the show is really hitting its stride now in terms of plot progression.

    I really like this show!

The first season was excellent! I'm looking forward to the continuation next year. I really think the show improved as the season progressed, to a gripping season one finale.

Yes I think the show definitely picked up steam as it went along.

A little too much interpersonal melodrama for my tastes, but overall pretty good. I look forward to seeing where they go with it.

Reagan was shot 69 days into his presidency, on march 30 1981.

Where does that put us on the timeline for the Show?

    The Beginning of May 1981?

    This is interesting...

This series would be bizarre if it wasn't set in the 1980s.

I was wondering where this thread went to. Anyone see the opener yet?

"Oh hey, just put this in your freezer, you'll be OK."

Good opener . . . and, yes, that was a hell of a tense sequence there at the end.

So . . . about Pastor Tim. Do we really think that he hasn't already run to the authorities with the truth about Paige's parents? Hard to imagine that he would just treat this as a family-counseling situation--and he did seem to be trying to pump Paige for more details on her parents' activities.

On the other hand, if Pastor Tim has talked to the Feds already, why aren't Stan and the rest of the gang at the FBI offices onto Philip and Elizabeth yet?

Yeah, I can't figure out Pastor Tim's angle on this, if he's going to keep this to himself or what. I can't wait for the scene where Philip and Elizabeth find out.

i was wondering about him too. maybe he thinks Paige is doing it for attention or he just wrote it off as, 'oh, kids today. they'll say anything'.
