The book should be out by Thursday night or Friday depending on your Barnes & Noble stores of couurse. Usually mine has it out by Thursday evening. I'm really hoping Pava stays aboard Titan since I have always liked her character since she was in the Starfleet Academy comics before Titan was created. I still think her character can be seen more.

I plan on getting this book to find out what's happening with the Andorians and since I like the Titan series I'm curious about the mystery mentioned in the official synopsis for this book..I want to read the Titan latest novel.Even if I didn't care for Sieze the fire last year.I want to know what's going on with the storylines with Titan's crewmembers.

Mangels and Martin co-wrote the first two books in the series, but of the subsequent novels only the most recent was written by Martin. Mack, Bennett, Swallow and Thorne have written the others.

^ Mr. Mack hasn't written a Titan novel yet, AFAIK.

The Destiny trilogy was an integral part of the Titan series as well as the TNG series.

Indeed, once again Thrawn's mighty chart proves useful.

I just wish Mack would write more notes. I loved the Vanguard notes.

Also i want a Kazon on the Titan.

I like notes as well. I've already prepared for my future Titan reading by writing a little program that combines my already-purchased ebooks with the annotations Christopher has written for his two installments, adding them as endnotes to each chapter and hotlinking a note whenever I can match up a quoted phrase to the text with reasonable confidence using Levenshtein techniques.

^I'm not sure that's the best way to go about it. Some of my annotations contain spoilers for things that happen later in the book. I recommend reading them after the book.

Yeah, I should have added that your website warns against spoilers in annotations :). But even if I read them only after the main text, it's going to be more fun/convenient to be able to flip through the text again looking for hotlinks to click, or for the unlinked notes at least to have then right next to each chapter. I did add hotlinks to the start of each notes section to skip over them to the beginning of the next chapter.

(The EPUB format is really just HTML under the hood, roughly speaking.)

The books have done a tremendous job lately of taking stereotypical or one-note alien races from the shows and fleshing them out. I wouldn't mind seeing a novel take on the Kazon. (Novel... do you get it!? HAHA I'm so clever.)

I think I'm one of the few people he liked the concept behind the Kazon (the entire streetgang-inspired thing). It wasn't perfectly fleshed out, but I still liked them. So yeah, a novel where the Kazon feature a bit more prominent could be quite nice. Who knows, with Voyager back in the DQ....

It just wasn't ever really credible that they they're organized enough for spacefaring, but then you have the Pakled ...

In the case of the Kazon, it was explained that they stole their starfaring technology from their former rulers/enslavers, the Trabe.

Yes, I realize they didn't develop the technology, but even keeping it running adequately seems like a tall order.

They probably had Trabe slaves for that, they were just offscreen.
