It was expected but still good news. I hope Marvel keeps Jon Favreau as the director for all three Iron Man films as well.
The man's got talent, and he deserves the longevity at the box-office as long as Iron Man remains a quality franchise that people are willing to see time and again.
Not sure how that piece of garbage could have good reviews. Literally nothing happened for the first hour of the film. The second half plodded along like a deranged camel, until the two suited guys did their little ballet dance for a few minutes. The only remotely interesting part of the entire movie was Sammy Jackson showing up after the credits. It left the audience in my theater with a big "what the hell was that" experience.
Perhaps the projector was broken? Odd that it took an hour for anyone to notice and inform the management. That's middle America, for ya'.
^ I thought that the first hour gave excellent character development and, as I said, I didn't even like the character. A lot happened in that and showed why Tony Stark went from playboy to Iron-Man.
Let's just hope RDJ can hold himself back from having Viccodin and Red Bull parties and snorting cocaine off the tits of a hooker long enough to pull this off. (I kid. The man is a talented actor who's made an amazing come-back this last year and look forward to seeing him in more Iron Man movies, but his past is still there. )
